L2C has contributed to the development of youth and teens in the greater District of Columbia area and Maryland counties through our wide range of programs. Our Youth Leadership program is centered on instilling strong values into our youth and provides a path for them to expand their mind while meeting new and interesting individuals.

Developing youth leadership skills during middle and high school is crucial and happens for Scholars (youth and teens in L2C), These skills are learned through our monthly and mentoring sessions.

What are youth leadership skills? How can they be nurtured? As an organization we focus on the skills that can best nurtured within the structure of monthly meetings and workshops. These meetings provide a formal opportunity for students within our program (Scholars) to learn and practice.
Youth leadership skills include:

Our Leadership Workshops are designed to provide Scholars with all the tools they need to be great leaders tomorrow. We are happy to be the driving force behind the development of our Scholars, and hope to continue making a difference in their lives.

Shaping today's youth to become right now leaders! empowers youth to reach their fullest potential through a wide range of community service through service learning. We care about our youth, and provide them with a number of enrichment programs to help shape their identity. Our Service Learning projects provides our youth the chance to get involved in the community and meet new and exciting faces from all walks of life.
Scholars will have the choice of serving as host and producers on a podcast and YouTube channel, tutoring elementary/middle school students to help improve reading and math skills; or marketing and communications. Come experience it for yourself today!
