From Dreams to Destinations: The L.E.E.P Journey

Every journey begins with a spark. For the scholars and families we serve, that spark is the belief that college  and leadership beyond it is possible. At L.E.E.P TO COLLEGE FOUNDATION, Inc., our mission is to empower youth with the tools, confidence, and opportunities they need to thrive. Our vision is a future where every scholar is not only prepared for college, but ready to lead, serve, and inspire their communities.

We see parents and students walking this path together  discovering campuses for the first time, meeting future roommates, and stepping into new experiences that expand their horizons. For many, these milestones mark their first time leaving Maryland, their first time imagining themselves as leaders in new spaces, and their first time realizing that their dreams are within reach.  This is more than preparation; it’s transformation. And it happens because families, mentors, and partners stand alongside our scholars, ensuring they are supported at every step.

Now we invite you to be part of this story. Join us in lifting youth, strengthening families, and building futures. Whether through volunteering, mentoring, or giving, your support helps turn sparks into lasting legacies. Together, we don’t just prepare students for college we prepare them for life.

I’ll never forget the gala that I attended my senior year, where it was just good to see everyone in the program who had stuck it out, and we were all heading off to be adults and graduates. Something else super special about this program is that I bump into people I participated in the program with all the time now, and we're all grown up, and it’s just so wonderful to see all the fantastic things we’re doing.

L.E.E.P mainly influenced what major I was going to choose. Going on the college tours when I was in high school helped broaden my choices of schools to apply to, but I got the most out of discussions regarding our majors and minors.

I first got involved with the Dream B.I.G. Podcast as a high school student, serving as one of the initial student producers. That experience eventually led me to become an intern and podcast instructor, which gave me the chance to guide others while continuing to grow myself. Through the college tours, I’ve met so many new people who were genuinely pleasant to be around, and I learned a lot about what to look for in a college. On the most recent tour, I even stepped into a helper role as a little chaperone, and connecting with the younger students was not only fun but also really rewarding.
